Who started that urban fashion myth that you can’t mix metals? Really, why choose gold or silver only when you can wear both at the same time and put a fresh spin on your style.
The Way’s creative director Kellie Hush has a few tips on how to mix and don’t match. “Mixing metals kind of feels like mixing prints, which personally I Iove too. The most important thing to remember is that less is more and to be subtle with your selection,” says Kellie
“First choose one dominant metal type, be it silver or gold. Only mix two-three metals at once or it may be too much. Space out your metals, basically don’t stack everything on one wrist or around your neck.
Maybe a chunky gold bangle with a delicate silver chain and gold rings. Also use trinkets, like charm bracelets, coin bracelets for a subtle touch. When layering necklaces try different lengths and styles. For evening, I’d top your outfit off with a cute metallic clutch from The Way.”
